RACE were commissioned to create a method of jointly promoting the public and private sector in an initiative to bring inward business investment to Manchester.
A 'Sunday supplement' style of magazine was proposed, to differentiate from the plethora of publications produced separately by all sectors and businesses operating within the City Region of Manchester.
The RACE proposal was to create a traditionally designed magazine that was focused on the personalities within all of the operations and in that way disseminate all of the vital, factual information through interviews and entertainingly written editorial features.
The first issue of TEN was published in March 2006 to wide-spread positive comment and will now be published in the Spring and Autumn each year. In addition to general distribution 50,000 copies were distributed as an insert to The London Evening Standard.
